Paddy Nolan, founder of Chartered Accounting firm E. P. Nolan

Our Firm's Founder

In 1954, after a distinguished career in the RAF, Edward Patrick (Paddy) Nolan, CA founded and then built a successful Chartered Accountant practice in Hamilton, Ontario which operated as E.P. Nolan, Chartered Accountant.

Paddy retired from our firm in 1994 and passed away February 6, 1998.

In 1981, Richard (Rick) Hoecht joined the firm as an associate. In 1982 Rick became a partner and the firm became known as Nolan and Hoecht, Chartered Accountants.

In 1990, Tim Galvin joined the firm. Upon Paddy Nolan's retirement in 1994, Tim became a partner with the firm. As such, the firm changed its name to Hoecht Galvin, Chartered Accountants.

In 2009, William (Bill) Kai joined the firm as a partner with the firm changing its name to Hoecht Galvin Kai, Chartered Accountants.

Today, Hoecht Galvin Kai services more than 1,000 individuals and organizations across a wide range of industries, both private and not-for-profit.
